Design management of deep CFA foundation piling up to 40 metres within a live, programme-critical regional hospital environment — including column starters and complex operational interfaces.
The Wagga Wagga Health Service Redevelopment is a major regional health infrastructure project for NSW Health, involving the construction of a new 4-level hospital building at an existing operational facility. The project required deep CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) piles up to 40 metres in depth, with column starters, to support the new structure within a constrained and programme-critical live hospital environment.
Maple Consults provided design management of the foundation system and led site delivery — coordinating the CFA piling programme, column starter installation and construction interfaces across a live hospital site. Delivery within an operational hospital required careful management of safety protocols, construction sequencing and operational interfaces to maintain programme without disruption to hospital services.
